Restaurant Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the restaurant by ensuring the following:
    • Oversee the implementation of standards as detailed in the departmental standards and procedures manual
    • Adhere to all procedures stated
    • Conduct effective shift briefings ensuring all staff are aware of VIPs, special occasions, daily specials; emphasize on up selling certain products; etc.
    • Personally meet and bid farewell to a minimum of 80% of your customers
    • Encourage and motivate staff to provide optimum service during all shifts
  • Share recommendations and guest comments to Chefs and the Food and Beverage Manager to reflect current customer profile
  • Develop and implement the Promotions Calendar for F&B products in restaurant
  • Manage special event concept
  • Anticipate market changes and review operations when necessary
  • Assist in doing marketing and promotion for restaurant.
  • Good in English and have good computer sales to assist in doing online marketing.
  • Liaise with Sales Manager during tender process to obtain new accounts; Food and Beverage specific
  • Manage partial P&L and perform stock control
  • Analyze food and beverage statistics through point of sale system
  • Work with Manager and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive
  • Work with the superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): pos, Microsoft Office
  • Preferably Manager specialized in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
  • Meticulous and possess good people skill.
  • Self-descipline and self-motivated.
  • Enjoy interacting with people and serving customers.
  • Maintain high standard of personal hygiene with clean and neat appearance.
  • Possess good EQ and always keen to get feeback from customers for improvement
  • Require to work on rotating shift basis which includes weekends and public holidays.
