1 year contract Control System Engineer (Plant / up to 12k)

·         Responsible for the maintenance and engineering of all control systems in the plant.

·         Fine-tune, troubleshoot, configure, modify and program the control systems as needed to improve system performance and optimize process and/or operation changes.

·         Provide maintenance and engineering support for process control systems to achieve business and operational objectives mainly for the Re-life and TAR project team.

·         Attend to emergency call-out and provide night-shift support during plant start-up and shut-down period.

·         Provide expert opinion on control system life cycle management and renewal strategy to ensure safe and reliable operation

·         Work closely and support the Instrument Team to resolve day-to-day instrumentation problems.

·         Work with the Project Team to develop control system requirements of all projects and modifications; supervise and implement the works according to the schedule and requirements.

·         Perform strategy planning for control system expansion, upgrading and renewal.

·         Provide support for control system integration engineering.



        At least 3 – 5 years working experience in the refinery or petrochemical industry environment with degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, major in Control and Instrumentation is preferred.

        Familiar and hand-on experience in the engineering tools and programming languages of Honeywell DCS, Siemens PCS7, Allen-Bradley PLC, Triconex PLC and etc; able to make program modifications and configuration changes confidently.

        Knowledge and experience with computer system networking and familiar with server/client system environments.

        Familiar with various phases of project works such as engineering, fabrication & construction and commissioning.

        Familiar with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and SAP systems.

        Experienced in control system upgrade and/or migration from one system to another system.
